Pomade characteristics:
Shifty Beggar is a unique combination of a water-based gel pomade with clay. It provides a firm hold combined with a moderate, subtle shine. Thanks to the addition of bentonite clay, it also has an unusual high texture and slightly increased volume for this type of pomade. This makes Beggar’s Pomade versatile enough to be used on many different styles. It works well on combed, medium-length and long hair, as well as helping to give a hand-styled short crop an aggressive feel with a subtle shine.
What styles does the Shifty Beggar work best with?
- slick back
- side part
- pompadour
- crop
How to use:
Apply to completely dry hair, preferably after a shower. You can experiment with applying to damp/towel-dry hair. This will definitely result in less hold and less texture in the final hair shape – definitely a looser style.
- Scoop a small amount of Beggar onto your finger – choose the amount according to your hair length and style type. It is best to start with a small amount and add more if the previous amount is not enough.
- Spread the pomade in your hands so that it covers most of your hand.
- Apply the pomade to the hair, trying to distribute it as evenly as possible over the entire length of the hair. Don’t focus on the styling itself at this stage – move your hair in all directions and apply the pomade in different directions so that it reaches every possible spot.
- Preform the desired shape with your hands.
- For a loose style, use your hands to ruffle your hair to create the desired texture. For combed styles – use a comb to distribute the pomade more thoroughly and start styling the desired style. For longer hair, we recommend an afro-comb – with long teeth, combined with a comb or brush – to distribute the pomade effectively and finally use a comb and your hands to finish the style.
- During the day, you can gently touch up your style with a comb or your hands. If you need to completely restyle your hair, dampen the comb with a little water – this will make things much easier.
- Washing this type of pomade out of your hair is no problem – just a normal daily shampoo will do.
