Grand Bishop – how to use

Pomade characteristics:

Grand Bishop is a water-based gel-type pomade. It has a strong, long-lasting hold and a medium shine that gradually fades to a matte finish throughout the day. It also adds moderate volume and texture to the hair.
This type of pomade is generally designed for combed styles – medium to long hair, although a small amount of Grand Bishop can be used as a pre-styling base for another product.

When creating Bishop, we also wanted the pomade to be easy and convenient to use, so we made sure that Bishop gives you plenty of time to style before it reaches maximum hold. Once applied, you have up to several minutes to style freely before combing becomes difficult. After this time, Bishop hardens like any other gel-type pomade, but unlike many others, it doesn’t form a hard crust that can’t be moved, but rather a flexible shape that you can gently tweak with a comb as needed throughout the day.

We’ve also taken care to keep the hair in good condition by using aloe vera juice as the base of Bishop pomade. Enriching the product with honey derivatives has a positive effect on hair softness and manageability.

For which hairstyles is Grand Bishop best suited?

  • slick back
  • side part
  • pompadour

How to use:
Apply to completely dry hair, preferably after a shower. You can experiment with applying to damp/towel-dry hair. This will definitely result in less hold and less texture in the final hair shape – definitely a looser style.

  1. Scoop a small amount of Bishop onto your finger – choose the amount according to your hair length and style type. It is best to start with a small amount and add more if the previous amount is not enough.
  2. Spread the pomade in your hands so that it covers most of your hand.
  3. Apply the pomade to the hair, trying to distribute it as evenly as possible over the entire length of the hair. Don’t focus on the styling itself at this stage – move your hair in all directions and apply the pomade in different directions so that it reaches every possible spot.
  4. Preform the desired shape with your hands.
  5. Run your hands through your hair to create the desired texture.
  6. Use a comb to distribute the pomade more thoroughly and start to style the desired shape. For longer hair, we recommend an afro-comb – with long teeth, combined with a comb or brush – to distribute the pomade effectively.
  7. Finally, use a comb and your hands to give your style final touches.
  8. During the day, you can gently touch up your style with a comb or your hands. If you need to completely restyle your hair, dampen the comb with a little water – this will make things much easier.
  9. Washing this type of pomade out of your hair is no problem – just a normal daily shampoo will do.

As a Prestyler – a decent build with volume boost

  1. Apply a small amount of product to damp hair and work thoroughly.
  2. Use a comb or your hands to shape your hair.
  3. Once your hair is shaped, use a blow-dryer to dry your hair, trying to maintain the shape you have created.
  4. Once your hair is completely dry, you can start applying your target product.
